Steiner ist ein kollektives Mitglied der Chicks On Speed, Co-Kuratorin eines Projektes namens Ridykeulous, Mitbegründerin und Teil von Working Artists and the Greater Economy (W.A.G.E.) und arbeitet mit zahlreichen Künstlern und Performern zusammen. Ihre Arbeit wurde bereits international gezeigt, unter anderem im PS1/MoMA, der Tate Modern, dem New Museum, und dem Museo Reina Sofía, und ist in Sammlungen des Brooklyn Museum of Art, der Marieluise Hessel Collection and des Museum of Modern Art vertreten.
A.L. Steiner utilizes constructions of photography, video, installation, collage, collaboration, performance, writing, teaching and curatorial work as seductive tropes channeled through the sensibility of a skeptical queer eco-feminist androgyne. She's a collective member of Chicks on Speed, co-curator of the project known as Ridykeulous, co-founder/organizer of Working Artists and the Greater Economy (W.A.G.E.) and collaborates with numerous visual and performing artists. Her work has been featured internationally in such venues as PS1/MoMA, Tate Modern, The New Museum and Reina Sofia, and resides in permanent collections such as The Brooklyn Museum of Art, Marieluise Hessel Collection and The Museum of Modern Art.
